Alien Web

I was visiting my favorite planet last week and came across this very unique insect web. I never did see the owner but I did notice, near the middle, the head of some prey. Pretty scarey when you consider this web was extremely massive. About 2 or 3 football fields in length. Not wanting to become the next victim I hightailed it out of there right after snapping a few good pictures.

This one really needs a full view to see all the detail. Some pretty cool stuff going on in there!
